State Assessments will begin on March 24 and continue through May 1. Check with your student to be sure he or she gets a good night sleep the day before any test. We want people to see just how smart we are here at Eisenhower!
Track and boys tennis practice begin on March 23.
3rd quarter grade cards will be sent home with students on March 24.
- Saturday, March 28, is the District Cup-Stacking competition in our gym from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. $2.00 lets you enjoy the fun!
3rd quarter Recognition Assembly is at 8:00 a.m. on March 31.
WASHBURN TECH SUMMER CAMPS: Washburn Tech is offering three different Summer Camps in June for students who will be entering the 7th or 8th grades in the fall of 2015. These camps will introduce students to a variety of programs (Auto Technology, Building Technology, Cabinetry, Climate and Energy Control, Construction, Computer Technology, Culinary Arts, Electricity, Manufacturing, Nursing/Health Occupations. Students will visit four programs each week that they select. The camp hours are 9:00 A.M. to 4 P.M. Monday - Thursday. The fee is $75.00 per week. Application forms are available in the counselors' offices at Eisenhower. Application deadline is May 6, 2015.
SUMMER DANCE CAMP: Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey are offering a free summer day camp (Ailey Camp) for six weeks for 6th-8th grade students ages 11 - 14. You can download an application at www.kcfaa.org.
MIDLAND CARE YOUTH CORPS: Midland Care is a not-for-profit, community based organization that provides respite, thrive at home, home health, PACE, palliative care, hospice care and grief and loss services. They sponsor a volunteer program for youth ages 10-15. The students complete a summer program and become Midland Care volunteers during the school year. More information is available in the counselors' offices.
